Who would believe 7 men in the kitchen...
We had to take a photo to prove it!
Thanks to the guys for cleaning up after the Saturday night dinner at the Mount B Tournament this weekend, great job and have already rostered you on for the next tournament :)
Entertainment Book - Fundraising!
The Mount Squash Club is working with the Waikato/BOP Entertainment Book this year as a fundraiser for the club and some maintenance projects we are working on (including a refit to the kitchen).
The Entertainment book is a local restaurant and activity guide which provides hundreds of up to 50% off and 2 for 1 deals from restaurants, cafes, attractions, activities, retailers and hotel accommodation. The book provides exclusive offers and is valid through to 1 June 2018. It is also available in a digital format.
The squash club will receive 20% from every book sold so it is a great way to support our club, while getting great deals yourself! Please tell your friends and family.
To order your book please go to www.entbook.co.nz/9208w70 or email Kelly.Cox@tauraurc.com
Access to Courts
This week we have some maintenance happening above the courts. The extraction fans are being replaced with new models that are more efficient, effective and have lower settings (enabling more control). The courts will be closed periodically during the day Tuesday to Thursday, but all courts are open each night.
Check out the court booking system for details of the court unavailability.
Thanks for Scott Macefield at Active Refrigeration for his ongoing support and installation of the new extraction fans.
Results for Mount B Tournament
Wow what a great turnout for the first tournament of the year, the Mount B - officially we had 104 entries, including 2 J Grade draws which was a fantastic turnout. Thanks to everyone that played and congratulations to all the winners:
A big thanks also to everyone who helped out running the tournament, many hands make light work and we had such a good turnout of helpers - this is much appreciated, especially for such a large tournament!
Congratulations also to the raffle winners over the weekend:
World Juniors 2017 - We Need You!
We're gearing up for a huge year hosting the World Junior Squash Championships in Tauranga 19-29 July (along with Devoy and Te Puke). To help ensure the Event’s success, we have over 200 Volunteers Roles available to help us showcase squash, as well as Tauranga and New Zealand, to the world. Come and join us and be part of the action.
The volunteering roles can also be found on the WSF website at Click here
We're proud to be part of the strong squash community we have in the Bay and are sure many would love to be involved. These roles are not limited to squashies so if you know anyone that may be interested, please feel free to forward to them.
If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to get in touch with Marcus Niles (admin@squashbop.co.nz)

Non-Marking Shoes
Unfortunately we have some marks on court 3 which are a result of the incorrect shoes being worn. Just a reminder to all players (including visitors you may bring onsite) to check that all shoes worn on court are non-marking.
Ladies Sunday Squash
Sunday Ladies Squash is back! This is a great chance for those wanting to give it go before joining, finding some like minded ladies to get on court. Drills and court time for those getting back into it and some coaching tips for those just getting started. Some great coaches lined up to help us each week.
We have a great bunch of ladies, and are keen to expand our group so please pass it on.
Interclub - Starts April!
Interclub starts again this year in April, Ladies on Mondays, Men Tuesdays and Masters (>35) on Wednesdays.
This is a 10 week competition for teams of 4, against other BOP clubs, where each player must be on the Squash NZ Grading list (all full members are eligible). If you are interested in playing, there is a list up at the club outside Court 2 - please add your name so we can start working out teams.
Cost is $150/team for the 10 weeks.
HAPPY SQUASHING
