E Grade National Superchamps in Invercargill

The Mt E Grade Ladies consisting of Macy Adams, Shelly Doyle, Tash Ogilvy, Charlie Harrison, Toni-Lee Hawira and Maree Garland with team manager/bus driver/proud dad Richie Adams travelled to Invercargill recently for the E Grade National Superchamps competition.

It was always going to be a hard task with the girls ranked 8/10 teams competing but they fought really hard and were proud to come away with 5th place.  Special mention to Macy who won all 5 of her matches, but all the girls played with lots of heart to make the club proud.  A highlight was having the final matches live streamed so we could all watch and shout our support.

Thanks to everyone who supported the team and helped them fundraise to get to the deep south.  While they managed to find Bluff, it was a shame they couldnt buy an oyster for love nor money during their travels.

A big thanks to Neil Gowthorpe, Mike Hebditch and Nel Hernandez for their coaching and support in getting them to Invercargill.  Also Harris Tate for their kind sponsorship of the teams sweatshirts and jackets, and Taura Natural Ingredients for the travel bags.

CLUB SECURITY

A few recent events of potential break-ins at the club so a reminder to please make sure that the front door by the office is not left propped open.  Appreciate your support in helping us look after our club.

BOP REGIONAL GRADED CHAMPS (previously Champion of Champions)
